Felicisimo changed his Filipino Surname to be shorten and Americanized to ALIT in order to come to America from the Philippines (TAGALOG Language) on board a ship as a young teen in the early 1910's. He work as Merchant Marine and Coast Guard until retirement. He was at sea most of his working life. The family would only see him a few months of each year.
He met and married Martha Dick (TLINGIT Clan)from Juneau, Alaska whose parents decended way back from Russian-Alaskan boarder line in the North.
Nine siblings born in Washington State named Phillip, Daniel, Alita, Gilbert, Juanita, Sonja, Vincent, Virgina, and Betty Lou. All grew up and in the Rainier Beach area. All attended Seattle public schools.
The following have deceased: Martha, Felicisimo, Sonja, Virginia, Phillip, and Alita.
